No matter what I did the sim would not see my TX, over and over I tried. When I started the sim up it would not see my TX. To do that I exited and closed the sim and put my Mac to "sleep" same as always.Ĭame back a few hour later to do some more sim time. This is the very same thing I ended up doing with 4.2 and the old cable I got from Align Trex Store. I'm sure that is somehow tied to the channel assignments I can't get to work.Īfter 7-8 hours of trying to get my TX set up I finally just unchecked the "use 5 channels" and "ignore pitch and power" boxes and set up my key board for TH, IU1 (eng. What TH does is engage and disengage pitch. I can't get a single button on any TX to work other than I can get the TH hold switch to have some interface with the sim. Also keep in mind this is all with the "recommended" cable from HeliDirect. Keep in mind I've tried a DX6i, DX7s, DX8 and DX9. By that I mean no matter what I do, or how I assign the 5 different channels I can't get pitch and throttle separated. TX's I can't get any of my TX's to set up properly. Now, lets talk about some things that are, at least for me, deal breakers. It would make installation much less frustrating. Not a big deal really it would just be nice if they would include some notice on their download page. I still had to use the work around to install the software, I think mainly because the developers aren't known to Apple. The thing is either I'm completely ignorant, still have big cable issues or H5 is very, very buggy. I also got the recommended cable from HeliDirect. I think frankly that's a cable issue and not a software issue. I still can't get any of the buttons working on my DX8 or DX9 but I can live with that. Runs well and is pretty stable on my Mac Mini running Mavric.
